Biman Bangladesh Airlines recorded a strong financial performance in the 2024–25 fiscal year, posting a net profit of Tk 785.21 crore, which represents a 178 percent increase compared to the previous year. The airline also reported record revenue of Tk 11,559 crore, marking a 9.46 percent growth year on year, and continued its profitability for the fifth consecutive year.

During the fiscal year, Biman earned an operational profit of Tk 1,602 crore. The income and expenditure accounts were formally presented at the airline’s annual general meeting, chaired by Board Chairman Sk Bashir Uddin, with members of the board in attendance.
Operationally, Biman transported 3.383 million passengers across 30 domestic and international destinations using a fleet of 21 aircraft, reflecting a 1 percent increase compared to the previous fiscal year. The airline also strengthened its cargo operations, earning Tk 925 crore by carrying 43,918 metric tonnes of cargo for foreign airlines, which is 45.21 percent higher than the previous year.

In addition, Biman provided ground handling services to 6,103,147 passengers on 31,112 flights operated by foreign airlines, further contributing to its overall revenue.
Looking ahead, Biman plans to expand routes to new popular destinations, continue digital transformation in passenger services and operations, and further strengthen cargo services to sustain growth and profitability in the coming years.
