Two tea gardens under Ispahani Group have been honored with the Green Factory Award 2025 in recognition of their worker-friendly and environmentally sustainable practices. This year, in the tea category, both awards have been won by Ispahani Group’s estates — Mirzapore Tea Garden and Zareen Tea Garden.
Under the joint initiative of the Ministry of Labour and Employment and the Department of Inspection for Factories and Establishments (DIFE) under the Ministry of Industries of the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, 30 factories/institutions from 16 local sectors were awarded the Green Factory Award 2025. To mark the occasion, an award ceremony was held on Tuesday, June 24, at the Osmani Memorial Auditorium in Dhaka.

The event’s Chief Guest was Brigadier General (Retd.) Dr. M. Sakhawat Hossain, Honourable Adviser to the Ministry of Labour and Employment and the Ministry of Shipping. The Special Guest was Mr. Adilur Rahman Khan, Honourable Adviser to the Ministry of Industries and the Ministry of Housing and Public Works. Mr. Mirza Ahmed Ispahani, Director of Ispahani Group, accepted the two awards on behalf of the organization. Also representing Ispahani at the event were A.K.M. Mainul Ahsan, GM of Ispahani Tea Estate, Mr. Selim Reza, Deputy General Manager of Zareen Tea Garden, and Mr. Saiduzzaman, Manager of Mirzapore Tea Garden.

It is worth mentioning that three of Ispahani Group’s tea gardens, Ghazipore, Zareen, and Neptune, were previously awarded the Green Factory Award in 2023. This year’s recognition once again highlights Ispahani Group’s strong commitment and continuous efforts in ensuring a worker-friendly, safe, and decent work environment.
