Walton, a prominent electronic appliance manufacturer, has unveiled its latest offering, the ‘Walton Solar Solution’, designed to cater to the growing demand for sustainable energy solutions. This innovative range includes 30 solar-powered electrical products across five categories. From efficient solar panels ranging from 85 watts to 200 watts, to versatile lighting options like DC bulbs, DC tubes, and motion wall lights, Walton aims to provide comprehensive solutions for harnessing solar energy.
Backing their commitment with action, Walton shared details of this initiative through a filing on the Dhaka Stock Exchange website, signaling their dedication to transparency and communication with stakeholders. Sohel Rana, the Chief Business Officer of Walton Electrical Appliance, expressed confidence in the company’s ability to meet a significant portion of Bangladesh’s demand for solar products. With a production capacity estimated at Tk 80 crore to Tk 100 crore in the upcoming fiscal year, Walton aims to fulfill 10-15 percent of the country’s solar energy needs.
Facilitating accessibility, Walton ensures widespread availability of its solar products through a network of distributors, dealers, and retailers across the nation, ensuring that consumers can easily access and benefit from renewable energy solutions. Moreover, Walton stands behind the quality and durability of its products, offering a generous 20-year replacement warranty on its solar-powered panels.
Looking ahead, Sohel Rana highlights the burgeoning demand for solar power in Bangladesh, with projections indicating a substantial increase from 0.55 gigawatts to 2.84 gigawatts by 2029.
