Unifa Accessories (BD) Co. Ltd., owned by investors from China and the British Virgin Islands, will invest US$ 48.66 million to set up a manufacturing plant for bags and fashion accessories in the BEPZA Economic Zone, Mirsharai, Chattogram.
The agreement was signed on 10 July 2025 at the BEPZA Complex in Dhaka, with BEPZA Executive Chairman Major General Abul Kalam Mohammad Ziaur Rahman present. The facility plans to produce 28 million items annually, including bags, belts, hats, scarves, eyewear, and more, creating jobs for 2,830 Bangladeshi workers.

Welcoming the investment, the BEPZA chief assured full support to Unifa Accessories and highlighted the project’s contribution to Bangladesh’s socio-economic growth.
So far, 42 companies have signed agreements to invest a total of US$ 942.15 million in the BEPZA Economic Zone, with four already starting commercial operations.
