RANCON Auto Industries Ltd has launched the first Bangladesh-manufactured Mitsubishi Xpander, a seven-seater family SUV equipped with a 1.5-litre MIVEC engine.
The launch event at RANCON Industrial Park featured Japanese Ambassador SAIDA Shinichi as chief guest, alongside Romo Rouf Chowdhury, Group Managing Director of RANCON Holdings, and Farhana Karim, Managing Director of RANCON Auto Industries. Senior Mitsubishi Motors Corporation officials and industry dignitaries also attended.

In a video message, MMC CEO Takao Kato welcomed the milestone, while Division General Manager Yutaka Yano praised RANCON’s production quality. The locally assembled Xpander offers a five-year warranty, two years of servicing, and nationwide after-sales support.

The Japanese ambassador described the launch as a sign of deepening Bangladesh–Japan cooperation. Actor Siam Ahmed, Mitsubishi Motors Bangladesh’s brand ambassador, hosted the event, which highlighted RANCON’s growing role in the country’s automotive industry.
