    Nestlé Bangladesh PLC Begins Export of Locally Produced CEREGROW to Sri Lanka

    Nestlé Bangladesh PLC has officially launched its export operations to Sri Lanka, marking a significant milestone in its international expansion journey.

    The locally produced Nestlé CEREGROW, a nutritious milk and cereal-based food for children, will now be available in the Sri Lankan market, manufactured at the company’s sole production facility in Sreepur, Gazipur.

    The inauguration ceremony took place in Dhaka on 9 July and was attended by H.E. Mr. Dharmapala Weerakkody, High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to Bangladesh, who praised the growing trade collaboration between the two countries. “This export initiative strengthens regional integration and contributes to the well-being of families across both nations,” he noted.

    Mr Deepal Abeywickrema, Chairman and Managing Director of Nestlé Bangladesh PLC, said, “We are proud to introduce a product developed in Bangladesh to an international market. With Nestlé’s legacy of more than 155 years and our presence in over 180 countries, we are committed to unlocking new trade frontiers and empowering local manufacturing.”

    He added that the company is “actively exploring further export opportunities to extend the reach of Bangladeshi-made products.”

    Also present at the ceremony was Mr. Najith Meewanage, President of the Sri Lanka Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SLBCCI), who applauded the role of private sector partnerships in strengthening regional trade.
