Recently, the International Division of Southeast Bank PLC has been awarded ISO 9001:2015 Certification from Bureau Veritas (Bangladesh) Pvt Ltd., a globally recognised certification body for establishing a Quality Management System (QMS) in its operation. This ISO Certification is a first-time instance for Bangladesh’s International Division of a Bank. Earlier, the Information Technology Division and Human Resources Division of the bank were also awarded ISO 27001:2013 and 9001:2015, respectively.
Mr. Nuruddin Md. Sadeque Hossain, Managing Director of Southeast Bank PLC. received the Certification from Mr Mahmudul Islam Khan, Senior Executive Business Development, Certification, Bureau Veritas (Bangladesh) Pvt Ltd. Deputy Managing Directors Mr. Md. Masum Uddin Khan and Mr. Abidur Rahman Chowdhury along with other senior officials of Southeast Bank and iota Consulting BD, a local consulting partner for ISO Certification were also present on the occasion.

This certification recognises the Bank’s continuous commitment to efficiency, standards, and compliance in international trade operations, which are aligned with globally recognised quality standards set by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). It is mentionable that Southeast Bank facilitates international trade through a strong foreign correspondent network that spans over 70 countries, having 623 RMAs (Relationship Management Applications) and around 300 Foreign Banks and Development Financial Institutions (DFIs).
