All four risk divisions of Eastern Bank PLC (EBL) have achieved the globally recognized and coveted ISO 9001:2015 certification after fulfilling standard requirements for Quality Management Systems (QMS).
The divisions are: Risk Management, Credit Risk Management, Retail Risk and Credit Administration.
Country Manager of Bureau Veritas Sohel Azad handed over the certificates to EBL Managing Director and CEO Ali Reza Iftekhar at a simple ceremony held at the latter’s head office in Dhaka today.
ISO 9001:2015 is a set of practices and requirements that can help organizations improve their quality management and create a Quality Management System (QMS). Five other divisions of EBL are also accredited with ISO certification.

EBL Additional Managing Director Ahmed Shaheen, DMD and Head of Retail and SME Banking M. Khorshed Anowar, DMD and CRO M. Khurshed Alam, DMD and Head of ICC and CAMLCO Mahmoodun Nabi Chowdhury, Head of Risk Management Saiful Islam; Bureau Veritas CIF Operation Manager Mukut K. Barua, Certification Manager Mohammed Sirajul Islam were present among others.
