Bangladesh has officially launched its first-ever Investment Matchmaking Portal, designed to connect local entrepreneurs with foreign investors. The new platform, which went live on 3 December, aims to bridge the gap between Bangladeshi businesses seeking investment and international investors looking for potential partnerships. The announcement was made by Chowdhury Ashik Mahmud Bin Harun, executive chairman of both BEZA and BIDA, during a launch event at the BIDA headquarters.

The portal operates as a separate feature on the BIDA website and is accessible from today. It was developed in response to growing demand from local entrepreneurs and foreign investors. Over the past year, many Bangladeshi business owners have reached out to BIDA for help in finding international partners, while foreign investors have expressed interest in joint ventures with local businesses, but until now, there has been no easy way to connect the two parties.
To join the platform, entrepreneurs can follow a simple three-step process: create an ID, set up an entrepreneur profile, and provide key business information to create a project profile. The portal also features an “All Projects” tab, which lists investment-ready projects across the country, and a follow-up section for tracking communications and engagement with potential investors.

This matchmaking platform is expected to improve coordination and streamline the investment process in Bangladesh, providing local entrepreneurs with a valuable tool to connect with foreign investors and expand their businesses. Entrepreneurs are encouraged to actively register and take full advantage of this opportunity to boost their visibility and secure investment for their projects.
