    Akij Textile Mills Ltd. has been awarded the prestigious Green Factory Award 2025 in recognition of its excellence in sustainable manufacturing and environmental compliance in the textile sector.

    The award ceremony, organised by the Department of Inspection for Factories and Establishments under the Ministry of Employment, was held recently in Dhaka. The chief guest was Brigadier General (Retd.) Dr M. Sakhawat Hossain, Honourable Adviser to the Ministry of Employment and the Ministry of Shipping. Mr Adilur Rahman Khan, Honourable Adviser to the Ministry of Industries and the Ministry of Housing and Public Works, attended the event as a special guest.

    Following a rigorous national assessment across multiple sectors, Akij Textile Mills Ltd. was selected as a recipient of the Green Factory Award for its commitment to sustainable practices, energy efficiency, and worker welfare.
